Although you didn"t point out the 17M2........I store one via me for the cshed under 125 yard ish shots...So extremely efficient...dogs fold up....kick twice & are dead......however...ammo is scarce.....this is my 3rd M2...having Savage..CZ..and also currently this Ruger 77-22 with Lilja M2 barrel.......If this is a major rifle...I would opt for the centerfire 17..........reload it......you"re talking off the shelf rifle ?If not...also look at a 20 Vartarg (Fireball)......

I am planning on dumping my savage WSM too if they begin making the 77/17wsm Rugers aget. Don"t overlook the WSM as its a great cartridge but the Bmag isn"t as much as my requirements. The WSM prices save keeping reduced and also reduced on ammo so I think it"s a no brainer if it survives.
I"d integrate one of the rimfires via a .17 Hornet. The straightforward rimfire is the HMR, partly because ammo is so accessible, and also partially bereason the A17 ammo in a bolt rifle comes pretty cshed to .17 WSM ballistics. An exact .17 WSM is a great alternative also, but still not anything choose a .17 Hornet for much longer shots.I generally begin on a tvery own via the .17 HMR, then after the majority of of the dogs within its variety are either dead or in their holes break out the .17 Hornet.

I"d combine one of the rimfires through a .17 Hornet. The basic rimfire is the HMR, partly because ammo is so easily accessible, and partly bereason the A17 ammo in a bolt rifle comes pretty close to .17 WSM ballistics. An specific .17 WSM is a good option also, however still not anything like a .17 Hornet for longer shots.I mainly start on a town with the .17 HMR, then after many of the dogs within its variety are either dead or in their holes break out the .17 Hornet.
Eexceptionally currently and then we get to a town that hasn"t been molested by a regional child via a 22. So many of our shots are >200 yards. Last year we did fairly a bit of shooting at near 500 to 550 yards - extremely tricky in the wind. But when we execute hit the areas wright here close shots are found a 17 rim fire would be perfect, I"d think. And having a 17 Hornet for the much longer shots make feeling. I have not taken a 22 PD shooting for quite a while. Last year, on our week long treck, I took a 204 Ruger, 2 223"s, two 6mm Remingloads, and also for the fun of it a 375 H&H AI and and scoped Ruger Super Blackhawk in 44 Mag. Others carried 22-250"s and one had actually a 22-250 AI besides their 223"s. MD - I"d guess by your alternative of 17 HMR and various other rifles you"ve talked about you probably have a CZ 527 for the Hornet??
Yeah, my .17 Hornet is a CZ 527. But the Rugers civilization mentioned in the last few write-ups shoot very well. On a PD shoot around 10 days back one frifinish brought a Ruger in .17 Hornet and another a Ruger in .17 HMR, and also both wanted me to try them out. They did extremely well, though if mine I would have actually operated the triggers over a little. One point I prefer about the 527 is the single-set trigger. When the one on my rifle"s set, the pull is 9 ounces.
