I"ve constantly had a small confusion at the wording. Are there simple to remember rules to know when the term "turn" is applied and also how.
You are watching: How long is a turn in d&d 5e
A ring is 6 seconds, a revolve is 1 minute. A revolve is likewise your place in the round...right? therefore if it states you have the right to do a details action once a revolve does it mean once in a minute that combat or as soon as in 6 seconds of combat. Or if her poisoned it rotates the end of the following turn is the your following round, or the next full game rotate which can likely be till after combat is over. Thanks

They space not used specifically interchangeably, as far as i know.
A revolve is one entity"s turn within a round (which is the lot of time because that everyone involved to have actually one turn).
So, "it lasts because that one round" method until the following time that initiative comes up.
And "that creature"s turn" is the duration within which the creature"s action take location within the round.

...if that provides sense? I"m not sure I can explain it properly.
In effect, "everyone takes turns, until a round approximately the table is done."
